Blood+ Episode 46

Torrent

Confession! Desires!

Failures.

May the weather be fine tomorrow.

And oh, this is quite VLC watchable. We only have time to do 45 once.

But please, use MPC where possible. -_-

Edit by Leha: Stop being lazy - NightFalcon.

NF edit: ALok messed it up for VLC people. Sorry about that. Won't happen in 47, if you STILL insist on VLC. MPC here. http://www.cccp-project.net/

Why do we insist on MPC/CCCP? We are not saying VLC sucks, it is a great player by its own rights. However, it is simply not suitable for watching mkv files, despite the lack of problems you have with X teams. Unfortunately, it has problems with US. We recommend MPC so that you can continue to watch more MKV files in peace, as it is becoming the preferred codec to be used.

Note: We are NOT forcing you to switch to MPC. MKV just makes it easier for ALok to encode, hence getting it out faster. There is always an alternative via Shinsen-subs who does avi versions. You ca get their version if you have violent objections against MPC for whatever reasons.

"...if you STILL insist on VLC."

“ if you have violent objections against MPC for whatever reasons.”

The above statements presumes one has a tangible choice. Macintosh users, as far as I know, have little to no choice.

Despite being out of date, CCCP’s recommendation to use MPlayer is not an option for most OS X users. There are a number of reasons why (both technical and logistical) but going into them here seems pointless and inappropriate. VLC plays the vast majority of .mkv files (this being the only one which has ever failed for me) and handles the subtitles reasonably well.

Further, there are multiple subtitles in Blood+ 45 that mock users of VLC. Clearly, this took time and effort to author and insert.

Now, neither I do not expect to special treatment nor do I mean to seem ungrateful of the real work that fansub people do, but belittling others and insisting that they have choices when in fact they may not is both uncalled for and unfair. It seems to fly in the face of the concept of fansubbing, which is to make media accessible to a wider audience.

Like the comment I posted last time. There is still no way to view MKV with MPC or using CCCP on Mac OSX to my knowledge.

In any case, Thanks for 46.

mkv is not the problem on VLC. It's the subtitle file type. I just stripped it, opened it, saved it as .SRT put it back in the .mkv... voilá ... anti VLC comments stripped

(pity, I like the funny comments).

Trust me when I say that I have reverence for those who fansub. I hope to be one myself one day. (To that end and others, I am trying to learn conversational Japanese.) With that said, the statements, below, presumes one has a tangible choice.

Just want to say thanks for all the subbing you guys are doing. Not trying to be a nutswinger here, I know a little bit of japanese but not enough to help sub or I would help you guys out. I don't care if your subbing has mess ups here and there cuz you know what, you are doing a job that I can't do and I know probably takes alot of your time. And I can survive with a mess up especially when you drop the releases sometimes weeks before the other people =) Thanks for everything you guys! Keep up the good work!

Hey, thanks for all the great fansubs of the show. Is there an MPC equivalent for Mac users?

First off, I just want to say how good it is to have someone subbing Blood+ so fast. I'm kind of lost on this whole MPC thing though. I do have CCCP installed so I was under the impression the MKV files you've been releasing would work with WMP10, but the subtitle files refuse to show up. Does the CCCP creators have regular updates that I don't know about?

uh, pretty sure all my codecs are up to date - latest version of media player classic etc. >>> for whatever reason, the subtitles on this single video don't seem to display...

btw, i think you've done a great job subbing the blood+ episodes that you have. just as good as shinsen, noticed a couple that actually seemed better imo.

anyways haha, keep up the good work. made a username just to post this ;p
